Integrated manual winch with automatic safety brake

The slack rope safety system automatically detects when the winch rope is not correctly tensioned and prevents the user from continuing to operate the winch in the mast lowering direction. This helps to protect the user from potentially unsafe operating conditions and also protects the wire rope and winch from damage.

Operator level RCBO electrical safety isolation switch

No need to lower mast to turn luminaries on and off. Instant power off should an electrical problem occur.

Unique parallel mast design

Allows the mast sections to slide past each other and the light head assembly to be fully retracted and stowed at the base of the unit. The centre of gravity is very low with the weight perfectly balanced over the wheels for easy and safe handling even on difficult terrain.

Low centre of gravity for safe handling on site

Typical telescopic mast designs do not allow the light heads to be retracted below approx 2m height for transportation and positioning on site. This results in either having to remove the light heads or in a high centre of gravity making positioning and handling difficult and potentially unsafe, especially on uneven surfaces.

Adjustable, removable wheel kit for transport, storage and security

Easily adjust the wheel kit for increased flexibility when transporting or storing the Quad Pod mobile lighting towers or remove completely when in situ to prevent theft.

  It is possible for the Quad Pod K65 to be powered from multiple power sources including mains power, diesel generators or a Ritelite RITE-POWER battery powered generator. The Quad Pod K65 can be supplied with either a 110V or 240V input voltage plug depending on application. Please contact our sales team to discuss further.
• What are the closed dimensions of the Quad Pod K65 product?
  The closed dimensions of the Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting tower is 1.09M x 0.83M x 1.95M (L x W x H). This enables it to be able to be pushed through a standard size door for storage and moved to where it is needed for use over almost any terrain by hand.
• How heavy is a Quad Pod K65?
  The heaviest model of the K65 6.5M Quad Pod weighs 237kg. This weight is evenly distributed over wide rough terrain wheels to enable it to be easily manoeuvered over almost any terrain into the required position. Forklift lift points assist movement onto transport vehicles and a lifting eye is available for customers who wish to lift via crane or other machine.
• How bright are the Quad Pod K65 lighting towers?
  The maximum brightness possible on a Quad Pod K65 lighting tower will give an average 20 lux over a massive 6868m2 area.   For an 11 V 11 full size pitch we would recommend between 6 and 8 units Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting towers, depending on the brightness level you wish to achieve. • What is the wind rating for a Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting tower?
  The Quad Pod K65 is safe to use in wind speeds up to 30mph.
• Do we need planning permission to use the Quad Pod K65?
  As the Quad Pod is a temporary lighting tower no planning permission is generally required, however care should be taken on setup to ensure the light does not dazzle road users or shine onto other buildings such as homes.
• Can the Quad Pod run from a 110v supply?
  The Quad Pod K65 mobile lighting tower has an input voltage range of 100-240V so will work fine with 110V circuits. Customers need to specify the type of connector you need when ordering so ensure site compatibility.
• What does Beam Control mean?
  Beam control refers to Ritelite’s unique lighting design ensuring that all the light that our products produce is directed towards the required playing or work surface rather than being lost into the sky or surrounding area in the most efficient way possible.
